How Far We’ve Come taps into Nicole’s experience directing period pieces and football adverts together through an emotive, feminist lens. This was a true collaboration between us, the agency, and Nicole.
The powerful script was written by the creative team at Jung von Matt, with each historical moment carefully unpacked by Nicole to understand the nuanced emotions and feelings of each time period. In order to show the fierce and unstoppable nature of Women’s football we brought on as many women as possible to the team, from the ground up. At its core, the film showcases Jeannette Harttung, a remarkable lead character who not only brought her acting prowess to the forefront but also her personal experience as a skilled football player.
