Leonel is a Swedish-German director known for striking visuals and emotionally driven storytelling across commercials, music videos, and narrative film. His work blends cinematic craft with a sharp cultural sensibility. He began his career in Berlin as part of the directing duo LEONELRUBEN, creating campaigns for brands like Nike, Volkswagen, Jägermeister, Vogue, and Under Armour, alongside music videos for leading German hip-hop artists. He's worked on global clients such as Google, Swatch, Nike, LOEWE, and Vodafone.
His narrative films have screened internationally, including his debut feature ENDE NEU (The New End) and the short NOW OR NEVER, shown at the Oscar-qualifying Rhode Island International Film Festival. He is currently developing both feature and television projects.
