Kolja, a Berlin-based photographer and director, creates alluring pictures which tell a story. The main focus of his work is on people, lifestyle and transportation. Light plays a central role in all of his work — whether natural or artificial light. The colors he chooses in combination with the elaborate compositions always have meaning and are never chosen by chance.
He gets his inspiration mostly from old movies, but also uses music as an inspiration which underlines the expression in his images. Directors like Wong Kar-Wai and Wes Anderson are role models for his work.
